Attorney Sean P. Sweeney has practiced law for more than twenty-five years and has more than two decades of experience in employment, labor and municipal law, school law and related litigation representing municipal employers and small to medium-sized private employers.   He has  a solid track record of representing multiple municipal employers in collective bargaining and litigation arising in the employment context. His strengths include the ability to develop strong client relationships and to identify clear objectives of his clients. He is able to adapt his collective bargaining style in order to advance and achieve his clients’ objectives at the bargaining table based upon a consideration of all circumstances and factors affecting negotiations. Client counseling has been a significant focus of Attorney Sweeney’s practice and is grounded in his philosophy of preventing litigation through sound and timely legal advice. He has demonstrated an ability to develop productive relationships with opposing counsel, union representatives and government agencies. His thorough experience includes all aspects of representation of municipal and private employers in litigation involving alleged violations of: collective bargaining agreements; state and federal labor laws; state and federal discrimination laws; sexual harassment laws; and other employment laws. This experience includes initial investigative processes through and including trial or public hearing before courts and administrative agencies.
